Property

White fine crystal. Some are light gray or buff. The relative molecular weight is 84.99 and density is 2.257. It's easy to be deliquescence and to dissolve in water and liquid ammonia, but only a little can dissolve in ethanol and glycerin. The melting point is 271°C. And decomposition temperature is 3801. Its decomposition products are sodium nitrite and oxygen. If heated to higher temperature, it will be decomposed into the mixed gas of oxygen, azote and oxynitride.lt has the strong oxidizing property and can cause the inflammation and explore while mixed with organics, sulfur and sulfite, etc.

Applicationroperty

This product is important chemical raw material, which is widely used in glass, dye, detonator, metallurgy, machinery and vitreous enamel and other industries.

Notice 

(1)This product shall be stored in the place of ventilation and dry, avoiding rain, heated and exposure under sunlight.

(2)This product shall not be delivered or stored together with acid, metal powder, saw dust, gauze, paper, sugar, sulfur, and other organic tinder and regulated.

(3)Handle with care against friction and bounce while moving and piling.

(4)The fire caused by sodium nitrate can be eradicated by pouring water.
